The proposed Urban Design Framework for Wynyard Quarter builds on the initial Design Concepts presented by Ports of Auckland in September 2005. Extensive public feedback and ongoing discussions with key stakeholders have led to the following key changes:
The Urban Design Framework presented here forms the platform to realise the vision for Wynyard Quarter.
As the transition in land-use progresses and an understanding of the demand and aspirations for the area become clearer, concept designs will be refined in
subsequent design stages. Ultimately, this approach will result in an exciting and vibrant place of which all Aucklanders will be proud.
